this extremely beautiful and very rare song was/is originally ballet, written in 1900 from the Italian composer Riccardo Drigo aka Richard Drigo (1846-1930) and later in 1916 made to a song. Drigo was known for his career as kapellmeister and Director of Music of the Imperial Ballet of St. Petersburg, Russia.
The song is sung by such great Tenors as Benamino Gigli and Mario del Monaco
